Presidential Greetings
Korea Asphalt Institute (KAI) is the only academic organization in the world that focuses on asphalt.
It has already been more than 10 years since foundation, but there are still many shortcomings. However, I believe that the academic researches and technological developments pursued by our society is a great advantage that other societies do not have. Therefore, as the president, I will serve with the determination to be a priming water for the development of a larger society.
In recent years, the development of convergence technologies and technologies that respond to climate change are drawing keen attention in the construction sector. In consideration of these environmental changes, the research area of our society has been expanded, including not only asphalt materials but also various construction materials and road safety, and the committee has been reorganized. I hope our members actively participate in this trend.
